I liked the layed back atmosphere in the classroom that enabled us to learn in a progressive manner. The blogging was my favorite activity because we were able to gain new insight about various current topics in our society. The evil comments after i score a 144 though hurt my feelings. I believe test are not a good indicator of knowledge in psychology instead you should have us write a paper to determine our understanding of the topics. For AP Eco i think you should give real life application of the topics you discuss to make it pratical for the students.
It has been a great year and I really advanced in your class.

Week 5
Why do 'they all look alike'?
The title says it all this article refers to how people among different races look the same to us. the article suggest that we are more cognitively adept at recognizing different features among our own race than of other races. Further along it says we generalize by not coding, we have the ability but we choose at not using it. We place more emphasis on the race than the individual an example the article gives is "When a white person looks at another white person's nose, they're likely to think to themselves, 'That's John's nose.' When they look at a black person's nose, they're likely to think, 'That's a black nose."
He hypothesize that race is a specific visual feature that people use in perceiving faces. Though this is true across all race lines it is more common in white people to be unable to recognize the variations in black faces than the other way around. Asians were also able to perceive differentiation among white faces than black faces. This article suggest that we do have the mental capability to recognize certain faces but our own perception of a universal "race face" blocks this ability.

Week 3 Part 2 Personality Disorder

Hey whats up girl? Man i was just thinking how lucky you are to date me, I'm such a good catch. i mean really besides Denzel you can't find another man like me. I'm strong, smart, and fine like porcupine. HAHA, and i'm funny too. these teachers don't understand me, i mean i'm failing don't they know who i am. they are going to be pretty embarassed when i become the president of the United States. i think they are just jealous because i'm the total package. i heard your dog died, but who cares you got me. don't you think i'm the best their is.
